Jenni-Maree has extensive experience in property and construction litigation. She has appeared in the Weathertight Homes Tribunal, the District Court, and the High Court in relation to many leaky and defective homes. She has represented not only leaky and defective home owners, but also those involved in defending claims such as builders, developers, architects/designers, plumbers, tilers,surface layers, painters and pre-purchase inspectors. With her assistance, most of her clients have resolved their claims before they reach the Court or Tribunal.
Jenni-Maree is a former Member of the Employment Relations Authority, resigning from this position in September 2020 and returning to practice as a Barrister and Mediator. As a Member of the Employment Relations Authority, Jenni-Maree assisted parties to resolve employment relationship problems by investigating the facts and making a decision. During her tenure, she presided over hundreds of employment disputes, issued over 130 determinations, and assisted parties to resolve their issues through the use of facilitation.
Jenni-Maree is an authorised Farm Debt Mediator under the Farm Debt Mediation Act 2019 and is an Associate Member of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand. She is available to accept instructions from parties throughout New Zealand.
Jenni-Maree is accredited as an Associate of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand and is an authorised Farm Debt Mediator under s 46 of the Farm Debt Mediation Act 2019.
As an independent and impartial mediator, Jenni-Maree will ensure that an environment is created where the parties can speak openly, confidentially and constructively about their issues.
